Earlier I accidentally closed Firefox with about 20 tabs open. Several of them I really wanted to keep, mostly as tumblelog post fodder but several because I needed to refer to the information for some code I’m writing. I hardly ever close Firefox, it’s almost always easier to shut down my notebook while its running so that I can restore the session when I re-open it. I wonder if there’s an extension that will save my session every time I close the browser, though.

That was completely a Defective End-User error, however. I didn’t find the bug in Firefox until later, while attempting to recover the closed tabs. I had my history sorted by date and site and was going through the today folder trying to find the sites I’d had opened. Let’s just say that nothing good happens if you’re trying to look through subfolders of “Today” at exactly midnight. Computers take the concept of “today” so seriously.
